This was tricky... Still a bit laggy, but it does what it's supposed
to: initialise QML, show the splash screen, initialise the model,
display the map.

Unfortunately, this is also still victim to a QML.jl bug :-(

Unfortunately doesn't work yet, probably due to a bug in QML.jl

I've realised that this is actually not what I need (its made with Qt
Widgets rather than Qt Quick). But it will do as a mock-up.
